More than 100 people gathered on October 6 as our year of celebration came to a close.
Former pastors, former members, and community members joined us for worship led by Rev. Dr. Erin McGee, Transitional Lead Presbyter, and for a catered meal in the fellowship hall afterward.
We’ve spent the past year reviewing where we’ve been and considering where we want to go in the future.
- We adopted a new ministry, Opportunidades, a program that reaches out to our immigrant community.
- We tried new things, like a re-envisioning of Breakfast with the Christmas Angel and a different approach to Dorcas Baskets.
- We continued the programs that have worked well, like the Monday Bible Study, Men’s Breakfast and the Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets.
- And we addressed some maintenance issues that we’d postponed, like sanctuary lighting, painting in several rooms, and repairing the stained-glass windows.
Challenges lie ahead. With God’s help, we will address them with energy, intelligence, imagination, and love.
